ICT BUSINESS PRE-INCUBATOR (iBP)

In line with the Government policy to make ICT a fifth pillar of the Mauritian economy and to promote entrepreneurship development, the University of Mauritius (UoM) and the National Computer board (NCB) have jointly set up an ICT Business Pre-Incubator (iBP) in October 2006. The iBP will complement the work already being done at the National Computer Board ICT Incubator Centre.

The National Computer Board had set up an ICT Incubator Centre in the year 2003 in order to facilitate the creation of start-ups through the provision of the necessary infrastructure, logistics and business support.

The University of Mauritius and the National Computer Board signed a Memorandum of Understanding agreeing amongst others on a partnership for the promotion of entrepreneurship on the University Campus.
